Electric Universal Autoclave UTEHO CHE-16E is a universal electric water autoclave designed for home canning. This specific model works in water autoclaving only. In the standard set, it is not intended for use as a steam autoclave.
The model works both with electricity and on a gas stove, so it is convenient for different conditions of use. The minimum load starts from just 1 jar, which is practical for small batches.
The body is made of black steel with heat-resistant powder coating outside and inside. Tight sealing is ensured by a food-grade silicone gasket, while the strength of the construction is supported by quality TIG welds in argon environment and the lid clamping mechanism.

What type is this autoclave?
This model is a water autoclave and in the standard set it is not intended for use as a steam autoclave. However, series such as UTEH and A can be used both as water and steam autoclaves if you additionally purchase a steam valve. This valve is also available in our range.
Can the autoclave be loaded partially?
Yes, the autoclave does not need to be filled fully. This model allows preserving any number of jars – from 1 jar up to full load.
What is included in the set?
Together with the autoclave you receive jar stand, control unit, recipe book, instruction manual, thermometer, and pressure gauge.
How much electricity does the autoclave use?
The electric heater power is 2 kW. One full cycle uses about 3-4 kWh on average.
Is there a water drain tap?
No, this model has no water drain tap.
Can the autoclave be used without prior experience?
Yes, the autoclave is easy to use and also suitable for users without much prior home canning experience.
Is the thermostat sensor fixed securely in the lid?
The sensor drops freely into its place, and no extra fixing is needed – it does not fall out by itself.
Can the electric autoclave be used on a gas stove?
Yes. This is a universal model that works both with electricity and on a gas stove.
Does the autoclave work automatically?
Yes, after setting the needed temperature and time on the control unit, the autoclave can work автономously, without the need to watch it constantly.
What is the metal thickness?
Wall thickness is 2 mm, bottom thickness is 3 mm, and neck plus lid thickness is 6 mm.
Are clamps needed for standard sealing lids?
No, clamps are not needed for standard sealing lids.
Is the autoclave tested before shipping?
Yes, each autoclave passes a double high-pressure test so that no defective unit reaches the customer.
Can a black steel autoclave rust and does it affect the product?
Black steel autoclaves may gradually be affected by corrosion, but this is a long process. It does not affect the quality of the product in the jars.
