Stove for 12–16L Kazan with Chimney D40 cm, 3 mm is a practical, fully dismountable and easy-to-transport stove for cooking over an open fire outdoors, in the countryside, in the garden or at a country house. It is designed for 12–16 litre kazans, but with suitable additional accessories it can also be used with Afghan pressure cookers, grill grates, frying pans, pots and other heat-resistant cookware.

The stove is made of black metal (standard steel). The body and bottom are made from 3 mm thick steel. The surface is coated with matt heat-resistant paint rated up to 800 °C. The coating improves the appearance of the stove and helps protect the metal during use, although the steel product still requires proper care and protection from moisture.

The outer diameter of the stove is 40 cm, while the inner diameter of the kazan opening is approximately 39.4 cm. The height from the ground to the stove body is 66 cm, while the total assembled height including the chimney reaches 173 cm. The stove weighs 19 kg.

The fully dismountable construction makes the stove convenient for transportation and storage. The chimney consists of one elbow and three separate sections. Each chimney section is 35 cm long, while the pipe diameter is 8.5 cm. If additional chimney height is required, an extra section can be purchased separately.

The chimney directs smoke above the cooking area, helping to keep it away from the cook’s face and making the working area more comfortable. The combustion intensity and heat output can be regulated using the chimney damper, firebox door and pull-out ash box.

It can be used with Uzbek cast iron kazans, Afghan pressure cookers, frying pans, pots and other suitably sized cookware. A cast iron grill grate or metal and cast iron ring sets can be used for smaller-diameter cookware.

A cast iron grate can be used not only to support smaller cookware, but also to cook meat, fish, vegetables and other food directly over the fire. A cast iron pan-lid can also be used to expand the available cooking options. The grate, ring sets, pan-lid, side shelves, protective cover and additional chimney section are sold separately.

After cooking, the stove can also be used as an evening fire pit. The enclosed steel body helps keep the fuel in one place, but the stove must always be placed on a stable, non-combustible surface at a safe distance from flammable materials.

Based on practical experience, with correct use and proper maintenance the stove can provide an approximate service life of 8–10 years. The actual service life depends on the frequency of use, fuel type, operating temperature, storage conditions and protection against moisture.

Because the stove is made of standard steel, it must not be left wet, damp or exposed to precipitation for long periods. Once fully cooled, the stove should be cleaned, dried and stored in a dry place. A suitable protective cover is recommended to protect it from moisture and dust.

Construction features

Smoke deflector

The deflector installed inside the stove near the chimney outlet prevents flames and hot flue gases from escaping directly into the chimney. It redirects heat through the stove, helps heat the bottom and sides of the kazan more evenly and makes better use of the heat generated by the fuel.

Chimney with damper

The chimney directs smoke above the cooking area, while the built-in damper allows the user to regulate flue-gas flow, draught, combustion intensity and the amount of heat inside the stove.

Three methods of combustion control

The intensity of the flame and heat can be regulated using the chimney damper, pull-out ash box and firebox door. Changing the position of these components adjusts the draught and airflow supplied to the fuel.

Door with three positions

The firebox door can be fully closed, left slightly open by placing the handle in the outer locking hole, or fully opened. This allows the airflow to be adjusted for different cooking and firing modes.

Pull-out ash box

Ash and small charcoal residues collect in the ash box, making the stove easier to clean after use. The ash box can also be pulled out slightly to increase the airflow from below and intensify combustion.

External chimney retainer

The retainer located at the chimney outlet secures the position of the pipe at the connection point, reduces the risk of movement and helps prevent the chimney from falling due to wind or accidental contact.

Removable and securely fixed legs

The four legs are inserted into their designated mounting points and secured with bolts. When correctly assembled, the stove stands securely, while the legs can be removed after use so that the construction takes up less storage space.

Side handles and optional shelves

The side handles make it easier to carry the stove once it has cooled completely. These mounting points can also be used to install optional side shelves sold separately.

Extendable chimney

The chimney consists of three 35 cm sections and one elbow. If additional height is required, an extra chimney section can be purchased separately.

Optimal 3 mm steel thickness
