Uzbek National Pchak Knife 285/165 is a traditional handmade knife combining a practical construction with the distinctive design of an Uzbek Pchak.

This is not merely a decorative item, souvenir or prop. The Pchak is a fully functional working knife with a bearing steel blade, designed for practical kitchen use and food preparation.

The knife has an approximately 16.5 cm long and 3 mm thick bearing steel blade. The total knife length is approximately 28.5 cm.

The Pchak can be used for a variety of everyday kitchen tasks, including cutting and preparing meat, vegetables, herbs and other food products.

The handle is approximately 11.5 cm long and is made using bone. Handmade production gives every knife an individual appearance, so the handle shade, ornament, engraving and decorative details may vary.

The knife weighs approximately 180 g. As the Pchak is handmade, all stated dimensions and weight should be considered approximate.

Bearing steel is a ferrous steel and is not stainless steel. Exposure to moisture and insufficient care may cause oxidation or rust to form on the blade. After use, the knife should therefore be washed, immediately dried thoroughly, and a very thin layer of food-safe oil should be applied to the clean, dry blade.

A faux leather sheath is included for convenient knife storage and blade protection.

CARE AND STORAGE

PROPER USE
Use the knife for its intended culinary tasks and avoid cutting bones, hard materials and hard surfaces.
STORAGE
Store the knife dry and separately, avoiding contact between the blade and other metal objects or moisture.
WASHING AND DRYING
Wash the knife by hand in warm water with a mild detergent. Dry it thoroughly immediately after washing. Do not leave the knife wet.
BLADE SHARPENING
The knife can be sharpened using sharpening stones, ceramic sharpening tools or suitable sharpening equipment.
BEARING STEEL CARE
Bearing steel is a ferrous steel, is not stainless steel and can rust. Moisture, food residue and prolonged improper storage may contribute to oxidation and rust formation. After use, wash the knife, dry it thoroughly immediately and apply a small amount of food-safe oil or knife-care oil to the clean, dry blade, creating a very thin protective layer. This helps protect the blade from moisture, oxidation and rust.
ABOUT SHARPENING
The Pchak can be sharpened using sharpening stones, ceramic tools or suitable sharpening equipment. During sharpening, it is important to maintain the correct blade angle and avoid excessive pressure or overheating the blade. If you do not have experience sharpening knives or are unsure about the correct technique, we recommend having the knife sharpened by an experienced specialist.
IMPORTANT
After every use, wash the knife thoroughly and dry it completely. For longer storage, it is recommended to apply a very thin layer of food-safe oil to the blade. Do not store a wet knife inside the sheath, as moisture may promote oxidation and rust formation. Proper use, cleaning, oiling, storage and sharpening will help keep the Pchak in good working condition and extend its service life.
