Uzbek cast iron kazan 12 L with lid is a traditional cooking vessel handmade by craftsmen in Uzbekistan. It is suitable for use both at home and outdoors. This Uzbek cast iron kazan is made from 100% cast iron and features thick walls, a solid construction and an aluminium lid included in the set.

Cast iron heats gradually, distributes heat evenly throughout the vessel and retains temperature for a long time. This allows food to cook evenly and remain hot even after the heat has been reduced. Uzbek cast iron kazan 12 L with lid is especially suitable for preparing pilaf, but it can also be used for soups, stews, meat, vegetables, sauces, goulash, roasts and compotes.

This model has a flat outer base with a raised platform, allowing the kazan to stand securely on a suitable flat cooking surface. The inside retains the traditional spherical shape, which helps distribute heat evenly across the bottom and walls.

The inner surface is fully polished, making it smoother and easier to use and maintain. The kazan has already been factory pre-seasoned and prepared for use. There is no technical grease or industrial oil inside.

A complete re-seasoning process is not required before first use. It is only recommended to heat a small amount of vegetable oil to remove any possible production dust and prepare the surface for the first cooking session.

Uzbek cast iron kazan 12 L with lid is suitable for approximately 8–10 people. Depending on the dish and portion size, it can prepare approximately 14–17 portions.

The kazan can be used both with and without the lid. It is a versatile cooking vessel for everyday cooking, outdoor recreation, picnics, camping and cooking over an open fire.

  2. Rinse the kazan with warm water.
  3. Dry completely.
  4. Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil.
