Uzbek cast iron kazan 30 L with lid is a traditional cooking vessel handmade by skilled craftsmen in Uzbekistan. It is intended for preparing larger quantities of food at family celebrations, events, picnics, campsites and outdoor gatherings.

The kazan is manufactured from 100% cast iron, has a solid construction and walls approximately 8 mm thick. Cast iron heats gradually, distributes heat evenly throughout the cookware and retains its temperature for a long time. As a result, food cooks evenly and remains warm even after the heat has been reduced.

Uzbek cast iron kazan 30 L with lid is especially suitable for preparing traditional plov, although it can also be used for shurpa, soups, stews, meat, vegetables, goulash, sauces, roasts and other dishes.

This model has a rounded outer base and a traditional spherical inner shape. This construction helps concentrate and evenly distribute heat across the bottom and walls of the kazan. A suitable kazan stove, tripod or stable stand is required for use.

The inner surface of the kazan is fully polished, making it smoother and more convenient to use and maintain. The kazan has already been factory heat-treated and prepared for use. There is no technical grease or industrial oil inside it.

Complete re-seasoning is not required before the first use. It is recommended only to heat a small amount of vegetable oil in order to additionally clean the surface of any possible production dust and prepare the kazan for the first cooking session.

Uzbek cast iron kazan 30 L with lid is suitable for approximately 20–32 people. Depending on the type of dish and portion size, it can prepare approximately 30–40 servings.

The kazan can be used both with and without the lid. The included aluminium lid helps retain heat, moisture and the aroma of the food during cooking.

  2. Rinse the kazan with warm water.
  3. Dry completely.
  4. Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil.
