Uzbek cast iron kazan 22 L with lid is a traditional cooking vessel handmade by craftsmen in Uzbekistan. It is designed for preparing larger quantities of food for family celebrations, events, picnics, camping and outdoor gatherings.

The kazan is made from 100% cast iron and features a solid construction with walls approximately 7 mm thick. Cast iron heats gradually, distributes heat evenly throughout the vessel and retains temperature for a long time. This allows food to cook evenly and remain hot even after the heat has been reduced.

Uzbek cast iron kazan 22 L with lid is especially suitable for preparing traditional pilaf, but it can also be used for shurpa, soups, stews, meat, vegetables, goulash, sauces, roasts and other dishes.

This model has a round outer base and a traditional spherical inner shape. This construction helps concentrate and distribute heat evenly across the bottom and walls of the kazan. A suitable kazan stove, tripod or stable stand is required for use.

The inner surface is fully polished, making it smoother and easier to use and maintain. The kazan has already been factory pre-seasoned and prepared for use. There is no technical grease or industrial oil inside.

A complete re-seasoning process is not required before first use. It is only recommended to heat a small amount of vegetable oil to remove any possible production dust and prepare the surface for the first cooking session.

Uzbek cast iron kazan 22 L with lid is suitable for approximately 14–20 people. Depending on the dish and portion size, it can prepare approximately 16–30 portions.

The kazan can be used both with and without the lid. The included aluminium lid helps retain heat, moisture and the aroma of the food during cooking.

  1. Remove the rust with a firm sponge, brush or fine abrasive material.
  2. Rinse the kazan with warm water.
  3. Dry completely.
  4. Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil.
  5. Heat the kazan slightly to restore the protective layer.
